Minard Run Oil Company (MROC) is a premier operator in the Appalachian basin. Currently operating over 2,200 oil and natural gas wells across Pennsylvania and New York, MROC prides itself on efficient and environmentally conscious operations. MROC has grown exponentially in recent years having doubled its daily oil production and increasing natural gas production nearly 10x since 2012.
As an operator, MROC handles the day-to-day functions of the wells and leases, performs all administrative tasks such as revenue distributions and joint interest billings, as well as maintaining all royalty and lease owner records.
Minard Run Oil Company also maintains and operates nearly 300 miles of midstream pipeline and facilities – including 11 compressor station

Partnership with Seneca Energy

Minard Run Oil Company has partnered with Seneca Energy to transport green renewable natural gas that is collected from the Seneca Meadows landfill and cleaned to become pipeline quality. MROC transports approximately 3,000 mcf / day to market.

We pride ourselves in being a good neighbor – environmentally, aesthetically and in supporting the communities where we work and live. When it became apparent that our waterflood operations were no longer economically sustainable, we demonstrated our commitment to environmental responsibility by plugging all water intake wells in the 1990s. When building roads, clearing locations and drilling wells, we go above and beyond what is required of us by regulatory agencies. Our production sites are kept neat and well-maintained.

We have solid professional relationships with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the United States Forest Service, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Office of Natural Resources Revenue, among many other federal, state, and local agencies.

MROC supports a wide range of community organizations and played a key role in the resurrection of the Associate Degree program in Petroleum Technology at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Additionally, we financially supported the petroleum vocational training at Bradford Area High School, thus fostering a skilled workforce for our industry and bolstering the economy of our region.
